Frankie Lo is a Principal Engineer at the Geotechnical Consulting Group (GCG), with over 19 years of experience focused on landslide risk assessment and management, slope stability, and deep excavations. He joined GCG in 2023 after working for more than 17 years at the Geotechnical Engineering Office (GEO) in Hong Kong—the government body responsible for managing the city’s slope safety system. Frankie has extensive experience in the ongoing enhancement of Hong Kong’s risk-based slope safety system, with a particular focus on strengthening resilience to climate change. He has also contributed to advancing industry practice by leading applied research initiatives and developing technical guidance documents.
