Alison is Geoenvironmental Team Lead for Buro Happold and has over twenty years’ experience in geoenvironmental assessment and remediation. She provides technical leadership, project direction and project management across diverse projects including masterplans, commercial, residential, and large infrastructure developments, assessing and mitigating risks from contamination and other below ground constraints both in the UK and overseas. She collaborates on a wide variety of multi-disciplinary projects to discharge contaminated land related planning conditions, complete due diligence assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs) and other advisory work. Her international career spans working in-country in Canada, Georgia and Romania. Alison enjoys collaborating with clients, colleagues, regulators and industry organisations supporting and maintaining high standards across the industry. Alison is a Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC), chartered with the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and a member of the Society of Brownfield Risk Assessment (SoBRA). She is Chair of the Sustainability Working Group and sits on the Executive Committee of the Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS).
